From 2004 to 2013 I served with the Canadian Armed Forces in numerous junior officer positions and locations. I graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in 2009 and served as a secondary bridge officer (watchkeeper) onboard HMCS WINNIPEG (Aug-Dec 2009 and June and July 2010). The duties included the execution of the ship's routine in all its forms. Between November 2010 and April 2011, I was the Navigation Yeoman (notary) at NTS-MARPAC, responsible for maintaining navigational readiness onboard all eight ORCA-class training vessels. This meant managing some elements of the marine electronics maintenance and coordinating with the Navy and SNC-Lavalin. In April 2011 I organized the Navigation Inspection on all ORCA-class training vessels at MARPAC, their first inspection since the vessels were put into service.
