Francois-Xavier leads our Europe Africa Middle East and CIS business development team. He focuses on developing major accounts, consultant/contractor firms in the power plant fields. His objectives are to grow and support all aspects of the business for small and medium size power projects where prime movers run on liquid or gaseous fuels including renewables ones. Francois-Xavier has over 29 years of experience in the power generation industry. He has been leading various important areas such as Renewable and Hybrid Energy Solutions, Gas and Diesel fired power plants, small medium and large gas turbines power plants, Combined Heat and Power, Mission Critical Applications, Oil&Gas and Electrical Systems. He presented CATERPILLAR gas expertise in numerous international conferences at the United Nations and at the European Parliament for instance. Francois-Xavier joined Caterpillar Electric Power in 2003. He worked as Territory Manager for Africa and Middle East and is a fully certified 6 Sigma Black Belt. In 2008 he led Caterpillar efforts on electrical systems, No breaks and UPS devices. He has been leading the regional gas business development activities and took part in the enterprise gas strategy planning. During two years, 2013-2015, he has been leading the gas fired power plant sales activities globally from our Mannheim facility in Germany. Recently he led the global Hybrid Energy Solutions sales. Francois-Xavier Saury is "Euro Ing" since 2001. He studied at the University of Essex (GB), the University of Karlsruhe, TH (D) and ESIEE Paris (F); he holds post graduate degrees in Electrical Systems Engineering.

Francois-Xavier leads our global gas power plants sales team. His team focuses on serving customers of major gas power generation projects and on Global Key Accounts such as mines and IPPs. The team covers all gas markets from natural gas, CMM, LNG, Combined Heat & Power and syngas power plants above 10MW..
Francois-Xavier leads the Electrical Systems product and market initiatives in EAME and CIS. He focuses on UPS, ATS, Synchro panels and LV&MV switchgears for diesel and gas fired power plant applications, Combined Heat & Power and Data center markets.
FXS is a terrioty manager for Africa and Middle East in the Energy Projects Group. He is responsible for the full Investor Projects product line in the territories he covers (see below) Investor project product line is - all CATERPILLAR gas fueled genset and engines - 3500, 3600 diesel genset - Engines and gensets to the oils and gas segment West and Central Africa Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine. Madagascar, Comoros, Mayotte, Seychelles. Ile de la Réunion and Mauritius Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia Sudan Eritrea LibyaTunisia Saudi Arabia Total:39 territories.
