Since my professional IT education by Prof. Edsgar Dijkstra in the 70's I have worked as a programmer and consultant for Volmac, then as a project manager, database specialist, middleware developer, and lead architect for Philips, and now realizing my dream of creating a business completely of my own (as of september '07). Specialties: Information and database modelling, software creation and integration.
I have fun in creating and maintaining web presence for various organizations. Using mainly open source software, like Drupal and MySQL, hosted on Google cloud. With a focus on usability for end users with little IT knowledge. I know the Drupal ecosystem inside out and have installed and configured a large number of modules contributed by the Drupal community. I have written custom modules as well, e.g. for iDEAL payment via Stripe in Ubercart.
Studied end tested methods and technologies to integrate, aggregate and cleanse data from multiple sources, generating fit-for-purpose data as reliable source for business intelligence processes.
Responsible for developing a rich communications platform, allowing remote contact between health care clients and their associated professionals. The platform supports a broad range of functions, including audio, video, and text chat, sharing documents and notes, browsing the web together. Devices include any web browser as well as Android and Apple phones and tablets.
Responsible for technical realization of an innovative application to connect coaches and coachees over Internet in interactive sessions. Main features: audio&video channel, white board, structured logbook. Platform used: Flex3, Ruby-on-Rails, MySQL, Flash Media Server. Application architecture: PureMVC, Rails, AMF3(WebOrb). InContext is a training and consultancy firm in Baarn and seen as one of the key players in the field of strategic behavioral change.
