Fransien van der Putt (1965) is a dramaturge, critic, writer and publisher based in Amsterdam. She writes for theaterkrant.nl on dance, (music) theatre and performance. She works with choreographer Pauline de Groot on her archive and is building a website for the archive. She curated and produced a performing the archive festival around the work of Pauline De Groot in november 2024 at Plein Theater Amsterdam. She participates in research into performative forms of archiving at LIMA, Amsterdam since the Unfold project on Nan Hoover (2015-2021) and researches collaborative performative strategies and the mixing of shadow projections at Radical House in Brussels, since participating in Trough Practices (Gent, 2019). She works as a dramaturge with Anne-Beth Schuurmans (Amsterdam) and Iris van Peppen (Utrecht) and initiated a peer network of artists who invite audiences inside their work (To the LIghthouse, since 2020). With Netta Weiser (Berlin) she did Radio-choreography in 2020 and 2021 at Mediathek für Tanz und Theater in Berlin and at the Deutsche Tanzarchiv in Cologne. Fransien is publisher and chief editor at www.denieuwedansbibliotheek.nl To distract herself from too many deadlines and pressure she édits and projects and reedits shadow images indoors and outdoors, much like she used to mix sound and mainly different layers of text for the former free Radio100, 99.9 fm.
