The women's reproductive health study abroad research program provided me with an amazing interdisciplinary, research-based learning experience. I participated in guided research hours, which trained me in basic research practices and skills such as study conceptualization, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, manuscript and presentation composition, and various software programs. I had the opportunity to work and interact with women’s health clinicians, practitioners, and activists and connect with local women in Florence to understand more about pregnancy and postpartum experiences and policies for women in Florence, Italy.
