Sequencing and analysis of mRNA from human neural tissue to explore the transcriptomic basis for neurodegenerative diseases. Working with lab technology including sequencing on Nanopore (MinIon), Sanger (3730xl), Illumina NextSeq, and 10x Genomics Chromium, plus quantification on the lightcycler 480, tapestation, nanodrop, qubit, and lots of gels. My dry lab work is predominately done in R with a bit of bash, python and Galaxy.
