Responsible for all maintenance works (preventive/proactive/reactive) on the petrochemical site and long term maintenance planning. Responsible for the selection of people, training program and their career development. Due to a reorganization two separate maintenance zones are merged into 1 in 2014. I was responsible for the design and implementation of this new organization. Performance of this group and actual maintenance costs have significantly improved, compared to the splitted situation before. Reorganization took place in a very good social climate. Now I head 13 own people and +- 100 third party workers, with a total budget of >8 million €/year + Capex of 1 - 10 million €/year.
Market analysis of the Belgian B2B gas market. Detailed investigation of customer needs, competitors and the own organization. Formulation of a business and marketing & sales strategy for successful entry of the company in professional gas retail. Development of a 10 year financial plan and business forecast. (executed besides current position as Manager On Site Maintenance, as part of In Company Project / Master thesis for MBA)
Project leader for a new production line, warehouse and logistics. Responsible for a project team of internal and external people, to perform a feasibility study and thereafter a basic engineering. However the project was stopped for economical reasons after the engineering phaze (1 year). Project leader for a new production line in Foshan, China. Responsible for the feasibility study. Approval was given to continue with the basic engineering.
