HEALTH is the inventor of Open Flow Microperfusion (OFM), a continuous in vivo sampling technique in skin, fat and brain tissue to address tissue specific PK and PD for pre-clinical and clinical drug development. OFM offers the opportunity to get PK and PD data from interstitial fluid over up to 36 hours in vivo in humans in SKIN and FAT TISSUE to speed up your drug development for drugs targeting skin and fat as for example topical and transdermal drugs. HEALTH is certified for medical devices and has a GLP certified laboratory. We also perform clinical trials in joining forces with the Medical University of Graz. A close cooperation of experts from a range of disciplines from medicine, medical engineering, nursing care, biology and (bio)chemistry, to information technology - unites well-founded biomedical engineering know-how with many years of experience in health management. This link of various areas of expertise enables the Institute to offer a comprehensive range of services to industry and science, public institutions, funding institutions, and representative bodies. The great practical orientation - half of the Institute is based at the Graz University Clinics - guarantees custom research and development work geared to day-to-day clinical activities, work tailored to the immediate needs of patients and all professionals involved in their care.
