• Assist in carrying out BME design research projects in the fields of biology and chemisty • Using the best practices learned in Journal Club, current research being conducted in the lab could be improved upon by implementing the practices of groups around the world
• Designed and implemented a vascular bioengineering research project with a $4,000 grant from Vanderbilt University • Designed a creative method to investigate stem cell responses to different physical and chemical cues, and used findings to better the research currently being conducted in the lab
• Worked with the Baylor Licensing Group to gather information and make reports on marketable technologies being developed in the Baylor College of Medicine • Helped in deciding which technologies were the most marketable in order to divide up funding in the most profitable way
