About

Frank started in the fire service in 1993 with the District of North Vancouver Fire Department and was fortunate to move back to Vancouver Island in 1996 after being hired by the Saanich Fire Department. During his career with SFD he has served in the positions of Deputy Chief (Administration and Operations), Emergency Program Manager, Emergency Program Coordinator, Fire Prevention Officer and Firefighter. Frank retired from the Saanich Fire Department in January 2022. Frank also worked for the BC Forest Service Rapattack (helicopter rappel) Program from 1988 to 1993 while attending the University of Victoria. - Member of the Capital Region Emergency Services Telecommunication (CREST) RFP and Implementation Committee's in the early 2000's established a leadership role in researching fire ground communications and in-building radio testing. - Former chair of the CREST Fire Services P25 Working Group and RFP review committee. - Former chair of the CREST Fire Services Committee
