I have been working in human services since 1982. My experiences include working in community residences for the mentally ill, working in a psychiatric hospital, provided case management services to mentally ill clients, and provided vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. I am in private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Disability Consultant.
-Independently provides DWI Assessments which includes: interview, assessment, testing. and provides written evaluations for court. -Provides solution oriented counseling to children, adolescents, adults, family, and couples. -Provides vocational counseling which includes goal development, evaluation, resume development, and job placement assistance.
-Interview, evaluate, and counsel individuals with disabilities seeking vocational rehabilitation services. -Interface with medical and professional personnel to determine type and degree of disability, eligibility for services, and feasibility of vocational rehabilitation services. -Collaborate with candidates to determine suitable job titles and employment venues consistent with the individual's desires, aptitudes, and physical, mental, and emotional limits. -Plans and arranges for appropriate candidates to further education or enroll in appropriate training programs. -Promote and develop job openings and placement for qualified candidates. -Acting liaison for ACCES-VR services to Eastern Long Island drug and alcohol treatment programs. -ACCES-VR Representative and Advisory Board member to the EOC program, Greenport, New York
