Created Mahi Network Management marketing and development program including market and technical requirements, product definition, pricing, packaging, white papers, sales presentations, product collateral, and RFP responses. Assessed competition and customer technical and operational requirements. Met with all major ILECs, CLECs, and Cable/MSOs to present management solution, gather requirements, manage trials and oversee deployed systems. The management product suite, Mission7, provided unified management of Mahi's Mi7, a 320 Gbit multi-service core aggregation system and Mahi’s Vx7 and Lx7, a family of WDM optical transport ROADM systems. The Mi7 supported both SONET/SDH TDM switching, MPLS/Ethernet switching as well as IP routing. The Mission7 suite included element management, network management, OSS interfaces (CORBA (TMN/TMF), SNMP), planning tools, and a CLI and TL1 craft interface. Implementation includes Java, HTML, Oracle, ILOG, SNMP, CORBA, SOAP/XML technologies.
Defined product requirements, sales campaign, product packaging/pricing, and product roadmap for TCSI Catalant EMS/NMS Product. Sold TCSI software products, turnkey projects, and engineering services internationally to Fortune 500 service providers (e.g. Ameritech, Pacific Bell, Bell Atlantic, SITA) and equipment manufacturers (e.g. Nortel, DSC Communications, interWave, Motorola, Italtel, Tut, Sonus, Cerent). Developed initial product pricing, packaging, support program, and marketing presentations for TCSI’s flagship product - Object Services Package. Jointly opened TCSI European sales and support office in Nice, France to service European accounts. Delivered technical sales support and account management. Led technical team to define, develop and sell DSC Communication’s Transmission Operational Support System to Sprint, MCI, Nynex, and US West. Managed the development efforts of 50 software engineers to develop and deliver DSC’s Transmission Centralized Management System product. Responsible for budget, staffing and cost center management of $10 million, multi-year program. Managed team of DSC software engineers to develop and deliver telecom support system to a large Japanese service provider, Daini Denden (DDI), to collect billing records, traffic measurement, and manage SS7 subscriber databases.
