I passionately believe in holistic sustainability in all facets of living, especially in my professional career as an Engineer. Continuous improvement is only possible through knowledge, and therefore I strive to develop and expand my knowledge base and practical experience through my actions and work. I have experience in Solar PV, CSP, Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency, Energy Management, Water Management, Waste Management, Data Analysis and Project Management. My main skills are to bring together various specialized strengths; from GIS to CAD, and SAM modelling to advanced Excel, in order to provide an effective, engineered solution. I enjoy working with an equally motivated team towards an end-goal, typically one that aims to benefit not only the stakeholders immediately involved, but also the broader community.

I am tasked with assisting the Facilities Management team at Stellenbosch University in achieving their sustainability goals in energy consumption, demand and cost reduction. This includes performing meter validation, consumption auditing, electricity mapping and ultimately the execution and monitoring of energy savings projects.
I am currently busy with my PhD in Engineering Management as part of the Engineering Management an Sustainable Systems research group. As part of my research, I am focusing on Concentrating Solar Power, renewable energy technology future scenario developments, water consumption and resource availability, as well as strategic management principles that bring all these concepts together. I am responsible for identifying applicable publishing opportunities in these knowledge spheres and pursuing the appropriate research and modelling to complete publishable work.
Enermanage (Previously HVAC International) is an Energy Service Company which specializes in the investigation, procuring, planning and implementation of Demand Side Management (DSM) projects. I am extensively involved in DSM projects, implemented on large industrial processes, with the aim to achieve electricity cost and -energy savings.
