About

François Turgeon is the Founder and CEO of Constellations Espaces Innovants and Co-Initiator of ABITA. An entrepreneur, designer, and innovation strategist, he is passionate about creating projects that generate meaningful social, environmental, and economic impact. Through Constellations, he develops innovative housing systems, modular architecture, and sustainable community projects designed to make quality living more accessible, adaptable, and inspiring. Through ABITA, he is helping communities address homelessness through rapidly deployable modular systems designed for speed, dignity, and impact. Developed in collaboration with municipalities, researchers, community organizations, and industry partners, ABITA represents a new approach to emergency, transitional, and supportive housing. Over the past two decades, François has worked at the intersection of creativity, technology, entrepreneurship, and design. He has launched award-winning digital initiatives, produced hundreds of multimedia projects, developed innovative products and businesses, and led multidisciplinary teams across Canada and internationally. In 2004, he co-founded Ithèque with his father, author Pierre Turgeon. Recognized as one of Québec's first digital public library platforms, Ithèque was a pioneering initiative that helped expand public access to knowledge in the digital age. He later contributed to the redesign of Eureka.cc, one of Canada's largest media intelligence databases, and was recognized by The Mirror as a "Noise Maker" for the innovative cultural project NEeMA. For more than six years, he also served as Art Director for Sun Youth, leading digital initiatives, communications campaigns, and fundraising tools that helped support philanthropic efforts totaling more than $25 million. Today, his work focuses on developing innovative housing ecosystems, ecotourism destinations, social impact initiatives, and regenerative development projects that connect people, nature, culture, and community. His entrepreneurial journey has been recognized through distinctions including National Winner at Osentreprendre, Startup of the Year recognition at C2 Montréal, and participation in several impact entrepreneurship and sustainability programs. At the core of his work is a simple belief: thoughtful design, innovation, and collaboration can help create stronger communities and improve quality of life for future generations.
