About

I am a self-motivated self-starter with a passion for purchasing. It is important to me to motivate my personnel to also develop a passion for purchasing and to invest in the value it adds in all the different departments in any organization and to also be actively involved in the Purchasing and Supply Chain processes in the 22 years that I have been involved with Purchasing and Supply Chain Management functions. I have a people oriented personality and am often able to bring different departments together and persuade them to buy in to the Purchasing norms and concepts (e.g. Engineering Dept, Metallurgical Dept etc). Relationship building with organised labour unions is important to me and I have always had good relations with the representatives at the mining companies where I have been. The same applies to the Security Departments at the various platinum sites where I have been employed. Although I have only been involved in Purchasing and Supply Chain in the Mining sector, I believe that I can add great value in any company as it is a key business function that can be rendered in any type of sector. Commitment, dedication and the achievement of set goals and objectives are second nature to me as I apply my values and ethics both to my work environment and personal life.
