Prior to this position Francois was acting during 2 years as SVP at Groupe Renault, as Open innovation Director. He launched two main projects for the future of the company: the Software République together with Atos, Thales, Orange, Dassault Système and ST Microelectronics and also a project based upon Circular economy called Re-Factory Flins, the first European carbon negative plant. Prior to this position François joined the Alliance Renault Nissan Mitsubishi in April 2017. He launched and then became the Chairman of Alliance ventures, the Alliance’s Venture Capital Fund. Before his Alliance position, François was CEO of Nissan do Brazil Automóveis for 5 years. Under his stewardship, Nissan do Brazil experienced significant growth in market share, introduced eight new models, including the critically acclaimed Kicks model, and opened a new manufacturing plant in Resende, Rio. Dossa led Nissan do Brazil while it was the official automotive sponsor of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games™, resulting in a significant improvement in brand awareness and perception. Prior to joining Nissan, François held various leadership positions over 24 years in the investment banking industry, split between Europe and Latin America. He served for 11 years as CEO of Société Générale Brazil where he was responsible for the development of its investment and retail bank activities in the Brazilian and Latin American markets. Before moving to Brazil, he served for 2 years as Director at Société Générale in Paris. François holds a bachelor's degree in Corporate Business and Administration from HEC Paris (1984). He was awarded on 2010 “La Légion d’Honneur”, one of the highest honors from the French Republic. François is board member of two NGO active in education in Brazil: “Gol de Letra” and “Casa do Zezinho”.
Under François stewardship, Nissan Brazil experienced significant growth market share, introduced 8 new models, including the critically acclaimed Kicks model, and opened a new manufacturing plant in Resende, Rio.
