Trading in the morning, trekking in the evening…and be like a baboon during all the afternoon ;) Starting my commodity career between the feet of the Rwenzori and the Murchison Falls during 3 years, the coffee smoke carried me in the Central Highlands of Vietnam and on top of Javanese Volcanoes… 25 years in Sth East-Asia already, half of my life. Planning? Rarely, but when I do, I make sure the compass is shining. Trading? Yes, until I can’t anymore. Surviving? Sometimes when the forest canopy is getting tall and dark. Dreaming? As soon as I open my eyes, as sleeping is for recovering. Praying? Yes, but not enough, but it’s definitely the only way to find the real peace.
Initiated by Danida and WWF in 2011; Ta Lai Longhouse has grown and transited to TA LAI EXPERIENCE with four entities under its wings: Ta Lai Longhouse: Focuses on Community Development, offers shared accommodation in a traditional Maa Bamboo Longhouse. Ta Lai Adventure: Nature conservation with educational field trips, youth camps, and team-building activities for schools, breaks, holidays, corporates, and organizations. Ta Lai Aromes d'Indochine: Coffee production under canopy, currently inactive due to Covid event. Ta Lai Projects: Aims to conduct onsite projects addressing economic, social, and environmentally sustainable development.
