My journey with wine began in my family’s shop in the Loire Valley and took me through Germany, where I honed my sommelier skills, before moving to the UK. There, I had the privilege of working alongside Gérard Basset MW, an extraordinary mentor whose guidance shaped my path before becoming head sommelier in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Along the way, I earned distinctions including UK Sommelier of the Year (1996), the WSET Diploma (1998), and the MW Practical Exam (2005). From sommelier, I evolved into vigneron, driven by a deep passion for Priorat. Here, I focus on expressing the natural quality of each parcel, crafting wines that echo the authenticity of this unique terroir. I produce and represent wines from Clos Salanca and Les Vinyes Forer Massard, while also collaborating with estates abroad such as Vega Sicilia in Indonesia and Tibet. Beyond my own vineyards, I support estates seeking to refine their understanding of their vineyards and winemaking, like Mas Igneus in the Priorat and I lecture on Spanish wine at institutions including CETT. I also assist international investors in acquiring wineries and estates in Spain, providing tailored guidance, from property selection and negotiation with proven experience in the Asian markets.
