In October 2017, I joined the University to establish its Public Affairs function, managing institutional political engagement and building capacity for policy-based research exchange: helping the University's amazing researchers translate their ground-breaking research into life-changing policy and practice. I am also the designated communications manager for the University's substantial involvement in city region and growth deals in Scotland, working with funders and partners in the UK, Scottish and local government to champion the distinct role that research and innovation can play in unlocking productivity and inclusive growth as part of multimillion pound regional investment programmes.
