Experienced Project Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Experienced in Project Controls, Highways, Earthworks, Bridges, Subcontractors, and CPM Scheduling. Strong program and project management professional with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) focused in Civil Engineering from Penn State University.
Responsible for overall management of CQC program on site.
Responsibilities included but were not limited to: perform complete take-off of plans within the scope and specifications detailed by the project owner/client; build the estimate in HCSS, enter preliminary crews and productions, solicit and enter supporting subcontractor costs, and create reports for initial review by/with Chief Estimator; and, export estimate, create and submit proposal to project owner/client and follow-up through award or not-accepted notice. Estimated project values ranged from $50k repairs/change orders to $13.7M mill and overlay/new/existing widening roadway projects for both private and public entities including but not limited to State Highway Administrstion, City of Frederick, Frederick County, Anne Arundel County, Prince Georges County, Montgomery County, Foulger Pratt, W. F. DeLauter, Kiewit, Lane Construction, Morgan Keller, Ft. Myer Construction, AJ Romano Construction, etc.
Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: support and implementation of company policies/procedures; cooperation with management team(s) to ensure projects meet safety; schedule and budget goals; mentor field engineers; communicate with project team, subcontractors and vendors, and outside stakeholders; development and management of project schedule(s); oversee quantity tracking, cost reporting and forecasting; initiate progress payments with clients and subcontractors; and, perform document control of project records.
Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: supervision of engineering staff; communication with the client and outside agencies; management of cost and schedule; implementation of QA/QC and Safety guidelines; oversight of subcontractors, independent testing companies, fabricators and suppliers; development, management and implementation of project schedule; preparation, submission, and management of construction submittals; coordination with outside agencies and utility companies; and, maintaining as-built documentation.
Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: managing construction of all facets of the project; supervising the staff; communication with the client and outside agencies as required; management of cost and schedule; implementation of QA/QC and Safety guidelines; acquisition of permits; oversight and coordination of subcontractors, independent testing companies, fabricators and suppliers; development, management and implementation of project schedule; preparation, submittal, and management of construction submittals; coordinating with outside agencies and utility companies on construction related matters; maintaining as-built documentation; testing, commissioning and close-out; and, has overall responsibility for the project’s successful and timely completion.
