With over five years of experience in engineering, I am passionate about developing and delivering innovative solutions for the production of state-of-the-art IVD and RUO instruments. My mission is to provide quality and lean manufacturability for the products that improve the lives of patients. I am currently a Product Quality Engineer at Roche Diagnostics, a global leader in the IVD industry. In my role at Roche Diagnostics, I lead projects that yield tangible benefits for the company, such as leaner production and radically simplified testing initiatives. I manage complex tasks and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. I have experience participating in global task forces, enabling me to quickly adapt to diverse objectives and address challenges effectively. I also have experience serving as an OPS Product Leader (Product Owner) proxy. Starting February 2025, I am undertaking a transformative CIP (Change in Perspective) as OPS Product Leader in the development of NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) instruments. This role allows me to further enhance my leadership expertise.
I have been actively involved in the development project of a new state-of-the-art IVD instrument for about 3 years now, with my focus being on quality and lean manufacturability. I continue to provide innovative solutions for leaner production and radically simplified testing processes, leading projects that yield tangible benefits for the company. Additionally, I am managing complex tasks and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including HW R&D, SW R&D, V&V Team, System Integration, OPS, Global Customer Support and other relevant stakeholders. My actions and decisions are based on data and facts, always prioritizing the needs of patients and customers. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience working on numerous IVD instruments (mainly PCR) production lines that were launched in the past, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of the Product Care phase in a production environment. This occurred amidst the challenges posed by the Covid Pandemic, necessitating a ramp-up in efforts to meet global imperatives, during which I effectively thrived under pressure, ensuring timely delivery of results. Moreover, I have actively participated in successful global task forces, enabling me to swiftly adapt to diverse objectives and effectively address challenges. I also orchestrate and coordinate problem-solving workshops with suppliers, resulting in tangible improvements in production processes and strengthening relationships with our partners. Furthermore, I have experience in serving as an OPS Product Leader (Product Owner) proxy, effectively representing the product owner's interests and priorities to ensure successful project delivery. I am enthusiastic and driven, with a proven ability to excel in multitasking environments.
Change in Perspective as OPS Product Leader in the development of NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) Instruments. This role allowed me to further enhance my leadership expertise. In this position, I am co-responsible for driving a crucial development phase of a complex product, addressing challenges inherent to product development prior to launch, while fostering cross-functional collaboration. Being part of the leadership core team of such a project with tight timelines is strengthening my ability to prioritize, adapt quickly, and deliver impactful results while maintaining a solution-oriented mindset.
R&D on the validation of a new process technology. The main focus was on the characterisation of a polymeric membrane for medical applications under GMP standards. Main tasks: - Mechanical testing - Optical analysis (Mycroscopy, visual inspections) - Evaluation and interpretation of the received measurement data. " We have perceived Mr. Fabris as a motivated and independently working scientific assistant, who was able to organize time and work efficiently. He suggested an improvement of the mechanical measurement on his own initiative and has written a corresponding program, which greatly accelerated the measurement and facilitates the evaluation of the collected data. He quickly became acquainted with the various areas and performed the assigned tasks very independently, accurately and efficiently to our complete satisfaction. Mr. Fabris has integrated well into our team. His behavior towards supervisors and colleagues allowed a constructive and pleasant collaboration at any time. Mr. Fabris has left our company after the completion of the temporary appointment. We would like to thank Mr. Fabris for his valuable contributions and wish him all the best on his future career. " (Dr. L. Pfister, Head of R&D; E. Trachasel, Project Engineer R&D, )
"Mr. Fabris fulfilled the tasks assigned to him very conscientiously and almost independently to our complete satisfaction. With his friendly and courteous manner, he enriched our team and gave a valuable support. His behaviour towards employees and superiors was always polite, respectful and helpful. We would like to thank Mr. Fabris for his commitment and wish him all the best for his further studies and his future career." (R. Salathé, Director of Development) - Synthesis (emulsion copolymerization) with different monomer compositions using different redox initiator systems at Temperatures from 40 to 80° C. - Analyze emulsions for dry content, viscosity, and pH. - Apply emulsions and chemicals to textiles, testing under diverse conditions. - Conduct physical and visual tests on finished textiles. - Formulate various chemical substances including plasticizers and anti-pilling agents.
