    Blue Engineering is a technical consultancy company operating in the Railway, Aerospace and Automotive fields. I developed my curricular internship focusing on advanced railway technologies. The company joint a project together with CRRC aimed at building a passenger coach capable to connect Europe, Russia and China. The goal was to overtake the issue related to different track Gauges between countries by designing a prototype of Automatic Gauge Adjustable Wheel-Set. Firstly, I focused on researching current technologies on Variable Gauge Wheel-Set. The second phase involved the actual design of a bogie capable to automatically vary the wheel gauge. • Designed Wheel-Set components including the mechanism allowing the wheel to move axially on the axle • Performed FE Structural Analyses of wheel-set components • Examined mechanism movement studies • Conducted research on existing adjustable wheel-set patents and technologies • Edited research report subsequently presented at CRRC conference in China
