Prof. France Lambert is Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontology, Oral Surgery and Implant Surgery at the University of Liège and CHU de Liège, Belgium and the co-director of the dental Biomaterials Research Unit. Her clinical and academic work focuses on soft tissue management around teeth and implants, immediate implantology, regenerative biomaterials and approaches, and the treatment of complex multidisciplinary implant cases. Above all, she considers herself a clinician. Clinical practice remains the driving force behind her teaching, research, and innovation. For her, education and science only make sense when they remain deeply connected to real patients, real clinical challenges, and daily decision-making. Her career path was not necessarily predictable from the beginning. She often says that dentistry changed her life. While she was not a particularly outstanding student during high school, she discovered during dental school a passion and motivation that completely transformed her trajectory, eventually leading her to become one of the leading students of her generation during both dental and specialty training. Since then, her development has been shaped by inspiring mentors, but also by a strong entrepreneurial and visionary mindset. She is known for building projects, connecting people, and turning ambitious ideas into reality. Whether in research, education, or clinical development, she strongly believes that meaningful achievements are never individual successes, but the result of collective energy and synergy. Today, beyond her academic and clinical responsibilities, she is particularly committed to creating bridges between science, education, innovation, and human collaboration, with the conviction that we are always stronger together.
