About

I work at the intersection of synthetic biology, agrifood innovation and venture building, designing programmes and partnerships that move deep-tech ideas from lab to market. I like operating where science, business, policy and investment meet — aligning founders, researchers, corporates, investors and public institutions around concrete outcomes. Currently: • Head of the AgriTech Hub in El Ejido (Andalusia), a regional digital entrepreneurship centre in one of the world’s leading agrifood regions, promoted by the Andalusian Government and implemented by Impact Hub. I lead strategy and operations, co-design acceleration and high-performance programmes for 30+ start-ups, drive open innovation with agrifood players and connect founders with investors, venture builders and universities. • Founder & President of ATG SynBio Spain, the national synthetic biology association. I build the Spanish SynBio community, attract international partners and convene experts, investors and policymakers through initiatives with NATO and the NATO Innovation Fund, BIOSPAIN and the Microbial Engineering Symposium in Cambridge. • Provide innovation and technology transfer support to universities and research groups, helping scientists turn projects into spin-offs, licences and strategic collaborations, and advising on how to better connect academia with industry and investors. • Member of the External Expert Advisory Board for Agro4Agri, an EU project developing SynBio and bio-based solutions (biofertilisers, biostimulants, biopesticides) to reduce agrochemical dependency and support sustainable agriculture. Previously: • EC Deep Tech Incubation & Exploitation Expert at Da Vinci Labs on the €20M EIC-funded Seeds of Bravery initiative, incubating and accelerating 10+ Ukrainian deep-tech start-ups and organising the “Deep Tech for One Health” event in Paris. • Built early SynBio talent and community through iGEM (founding the first iGEM Málaga team), mentoring and speaking at international forums such as Grand Jamboree, Frontiers Health and leading bioeconomy events. • Started in biomedical research with a research internship at Karolinska Institutet, which gave me a rigorous scientific foundation and strong work ethic. What’s next? I want to keep operating at the frontier of SynBio and the bioeconomy, helping founders, research groups and institutions translate complex science into scalable, high-impact ventures and programmes across European and transatlantic SynBio hubs.
