Rather than describe my background, it might be more helpful to tell you what I believe... I believe people matter more than projects. I believe everyone is profoundly influenced by the people they allow into their personal and professional lives. I believe people become the average of the five individuals closest to them. Because of that - I am always looking to upgrade my "five” to add positive people to my networks. I believe my law practice has been shaped by the men and women who have graciously mentored me since high school. I believe my pursuit of a legal career was inspired by a desire to compete everyday, and John Grisham books. I believe the practice of law can be a beautiful and noble calling for those who use their intellect and creativity to add value to people, businesses, and communities. I believe my practical approach to providing counsel can improve your business (and maybe even your life), which is why I cannot imagine myself doing anything else professionally. I believe optimism is a vital ingredient to most successful businesses and relationships. I also believe critical inquiry, and even sarcasm, transform average ideas into transcendent ones. I believe creative and hardworking people and companies are inspiring. I believe success closely trails effort, and discipline matters more than desire. I believe the Bearcats will win a National Championship in football or basketball during my lifetime. I believe life is short and yet everyone can leave long and lasting legacies with the people in their personal and professional networks. I believe in love - loving what you do for a living and the people you get to live and work with. If you believe the same, you'd like to join my "five," or you simply want to talk sometime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
