Founded by two lawyers educated and trained in top universities and law firms in Algiers, Paris and London, Bourabiat Associés was created to provide its clients in Algeria a high level of service including the assistance of a fully independent firm offering legal services matching international standards on a wide range of business law. The firm assists clients in Algeria, France and throughout the MENA region, cultivating close relationships with leading law firms which help the firm to advise and assist clients on their cross border transactions across the region. Foued Bourabiat started his career at the Algiers office of a major French firm. Before creating Bourabiat Associés, Foued spent almost ten years in top international law firms in Paris (legacy Lovells and Herbert Smith). Foued joined forces with Valérie Veaux Muller to create the firm. Foued a commencé sa carrière dans le bureau d'Alger d'un important cabinet d'avocats français puis a exercé près de 10 ans à Paris chez Hogan Lovells et Herbert Smith Freehills.
Foued started his career at the Algiers office (Algeria) of the leading French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. In December 2004, he joined the banking and finance team of Lovells. Along with two partners and five associates from his previous team, he joined Herbert Smith in November 2006. Of French mother tongue, Foued speaks English and Arabic fluently. He specialises in banking, finance and projects matters. His recent experience has involved assisting and advising various credit and Islamic institutions in respect of acquisition finance, project finance and general finance issues. Over the last years, Foued has developed a focus on the MENA region. He advises European and US clients on foreign investment in France, the Middle East and North Africa, including in particular Algeria.
