Now a Vice President at Capgemini Invent focusing on Central Government and the wider public sector including transport, education, the environment and infrastructure. In addition I am the COO for the Invent Public Sector team supporting the growth of the Invent business supporting the delivery of technology enabled citizen services. During my time with PA Consulting I delivered or supported large digital programs, EU exit and the government COVID-19 response. Previously as a member of the Business Model Transformation Capability Team in Capgemini Consulting I used my wider experiences of project and programme management to support the delivery of projects in the health and IT domains. Additionally I have provided support for the continuous development of an array of high quality client offerings including Programme Recovery and Digital Transformation. Other recent work includes re-designing the Target Operating Model for a major UK airport and delivering a bio-metrically enabled passenger solution. I was fortunate to have had an extremely varied military career which included operational tours to Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans. In addition to project managing a number of short notice operationally vital construction projects I have experience in EOD and search. In addition to operational deployments I was instrumental in developing key elements of the British Army's Battle Management System followed by its testing and creating the procedures to utilise the system on operations. I have been fortunate to have gained wide experience in negotiation by virtue of dealing with all manner of individuals in a number of trying environments. Additionally having spent a great deal of time working with industry I have been developed an understanding of the key cultural differences with a military environment. My proudest achievement was the award for the Firmin Sword of Peace for the humanitarian work that my Squadron conducted saving the harbour on Tristan da Cunha and therefore greatly contributing to the island’s community long term future. • Commanded 171 Royal Engineers conducting a wide array of construction and engineering operations across the globe over a 2 year period. • Planned and lead an emergency operation with 2days notice consisting of 80 Soldiers and a Warship to save the community of Tristan da Cunha by preventing the destruction of their harbour and subsequent evacuation, • See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7374493.stm and was awarded the Queens Commendation for Valuable Service for work on Tristan da Cunha. • At very short notice created a major helicopter operating base in Kenya for UK military aviation under tight deadlines and budget with complex host nation negotiations as a constant backdrop. • Deployed to Afghanistan at short notice commanding 80 Royal Engineers to create essential infrastructure for the UK Fast Jet Group, provide vital force protection and carry out emergency repairs on the main runway at Camp Bastion – all tasks completed on schedule.
