About

Based in Scotland, UK. I'm an Experienced eCommerce and Marketplace professional in EMEA , and also bring to the table, a demonstrated history of working in the retail trade / electronics industry. My early career tenure began at Orbitsound Limited , where I started working as a part time cold-approach seller and demonstrated time and again that I was worth investing in by the business. This job I look back to warmly, as it taught me that anyone can sell a product to a customer with the right attitude and approach to solving a problem, and providing a solution. My first move after direct sales was into the Business Administration and development side on a full time basis , where Orbitsound recognised that I was worth hanging on to - on a more involved basis when I finished my Masters Degree. I was trusted to handle delivery of sales commissions and incentives for the UK sales team, and implemented new systems that would facilitate growth in the company. It was made clear from the start that performance analysis and driving the companies revenue by understanding sales patterns was a key component. Off the back of that, we came up with new incentive systems and invested in individuals with promise and ways to motivate growth of the wider team. Growth of our E-Commerce sales through Amazon UK were also one of my primary responsibilities and I learned much of the skillset as I went. Through this , I self-taught SEO, Content management, stock control, and came up with my own advertising strategy . This part of the business was grown 300% in the first year of my controlling it. In 2019, the company took me a step further when I was promoted to Operations Manager. Now managing international logistics and controlling stock movements in all retail channels in the UK, I was able to considerably grow my skillset. In early 2020 the company presented me with the MVP (most valuable person) award at our annual gathering event. From 2020 , I joined FiercePC and took on the task of taking a growing marketplace business into the larger EMEA sphere. During this period I led a team who specialised in product visibility , marketplace account management , and producing the best possible route for our customers to buy. --- Primary Skillset : eCommerce Operations, Business Channel & Integration/Tech Stack Planning, Product Management, Performance Analysis, Advertising in Retail Media & Paid Web Search, Shopping Feeds and Data Analytics. Forrest James Gordon. Interests : Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technologies, Day trading, Automotive industry, and Golf.
