Germany
Studies and practical experiences in central banking and financial markets make me an expert in the fields of financial economics and economic policy. My work: lies at the interface of policy making and research. My goal: having a positive impact. My inspiration: improving the economic system we live in.
As Director at Dezernat Zukunft, I lead two core units and share overall organizational responsibility as a member of the Board of Directors. Growth & Budget Lab — As Head of Germany's leading fiscal policy and macroeconomics hub, I direct a team of 10 economists conducting quantitative budgetary policy analysis on public investment, public services, and structural reforms, translating complex fiscal dynamics into actionable policy proposals. Communications — As Head of Communications, I lead a team of 4 experts driving the strategic development, planning, and execution of Dezernat Zukunft's public outreach and media presence. Board of Directors — I share joint responsibility for funding, HR, and the institute's strategic direction.
The Growth & Budget Lab is the first institution in Germany explicitly specialized on examining what the government spends its money on, whether that promotes good growth, and how it feeds back into the public budget. We provide macroeconomic models, policy analyses and proposals, providing a more solid foundation for economic and fiscal policy. Responsibilities: media outreach (newspapers, TV, radio), staff management, funding. More: https://dezernatzukunft.org/gbl-dashboard/.
