Ilmenau, Thuringia, Germany
20+ years of experience in signal processing and more recently applied AI. I've worked in a number of different fields, including array processing for communication and localization, bit of biomedical and 10+ years in non-destructive testing (X-ray, Ultrasound, Radar). Despite all that, I understand well that there is so much more to know, which makes me very keen to learn more and improve myself, with an insatiable level of curiosity. I'm a big fan of shared leadership / shared responsibility and the fact that our institute gives us the chance to implement this makes me immensely proud. Helping people find out their passion and watching them grow has become a very satisfying part of my job. And yet, no matter how well we do, I'm sure we can do even better. So let's never stop striving for change towards the better.
Fachgebiet: Signalverarbeitung für Intelligente Sensorsysteme Chair: Signal processing for intelligent sensor systems
The lab is part of the Digital Broadcasting Research Group (DVT), a joint research activity between Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Circuits IIS and Ilmenau University of Technology. The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS performs contract research and development for industry and public authorities for microelectronics systems and devices. The DVT Research Group, founded in 2008, has the main goal to carry out outstanding research and transfer the scientific results into application oriented projects.
Research in multilinear/tensor algebra, array signal processing, multi-user MIMO, relaying; teaching of graduate and undergraduate classes, supervising research projects, masters thesis; involved in acquisition of new projects, proposals, training of new staff
