Setting up and leading the Organizational Program Management team (6 FTE) with its mission of making sure we have the right people in the right place at the right time with the right support. Responsible for hiring, onboarding and growing the right talent for Booking’s Tech department within the Accommodations Business Unit. Resulting in a new hiring strategy, new way of onboarding new hires into the BU and an upskill program for +300 developers and top talent so they can deliver on our modernization efforts.
After returning from setting up the Machine learning center in Tel Aviv I acted as Interim Director Software Development. Leading an organisation of 150+ people working on our Core Customer Journey. This was a temporary assignment where I focussed on increasing engagement, strengthening the senior management team and senior craft leaders, and facilitating upcoming changes in the organization. This lead to an increase in engagement, positive performance improvement within the senior management team and and a clear tech roadmap delivering on our business objectives.
Successfully setting up Booking.com’s first remote Machine learning center in Tel Aviv, where we are leveraging new technologies in machine learning and other forms of AI to improve the customer’s experience. Grew a team from 0 -40 FTE, created a scalable organizational structure with strong leadership, an engaging culture, and an empowering people strategy. Due to our employee branding strategy the Tel Aviv ML Center is well known in the Israeli Tech industry. The Center is also internally recognized as a success and used as an example of how to setup a remote development center.
I wrote my thesis at Human Company. My thesis was about the predictive value of psychological test on bus drivers and the likelihood of causing an accident when looked at selective attention, personality and intelligence.
