About

Currently developing technical and interpersonal skills in team leadership and crisis management in the context of the aircraft cabin. In the future I aim to put them at the service of civil aviation's priorities regarding aviation safety and security. Through a combination of years of professional experience in the humanitarian and security field, in organisations with a strong crisis management culture, I developed information analysis and synthesis skills, a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary mindset, as well as strong coordination and logistics skills that allow to deliver quality work and stay flexible even under pressure. My Master's allowed me to explore topics such as unruly passengers, governance challenges and development of civil aviation in the polar Arctic region, passengers with disabilities, human trafficking and modern slavery, future of industry & new generation of aviation professionals, and ICAO's gender mainstreaming processes. I specialised through my Master Thesis on the unruly passengers issue in the aircraft cabin. For this I applied an intersectional critical lens to the lived experience of cabin crew members and I put it in relation with IATA and ICAO's guidance documents and the international legal instruments framing the phenomenon - such as the 1963 Tokyo Convention and its 2014 Montreal protocol. This paper filled a gap in the literature and provided empirical support to IATA’s operational best practices for cabin safety and the handling of unruly passengers.
