Applied and was chosen as one of four students to attend this event from over 83 applicants. This event, hosted by the organization Inspiregen, allowed me to shadow the CALIPER team at Sick Kids Hospital. CALIPER is a research study that ultimately aims to improve the diagnosis of child diseases by developing reference markers for children that can be implemented within the healthcare system. At this event, I was able to meet various members of the CALIPER team, including Dr. Khosrow Adeli who is the Principal Investigator of this research study, and shadow these members for a day both in the lab and at the hospital.
