I am a DVM graduate from the class of 2025 at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I am a Rowan University Biological Sciences graduate with a minor in Environmental Studies, and a Bantivoglio honors concentration. My interests include veterinary medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, and animal care.
This is a hands-on internship at a local veterinary urgent care for small animal cases. Pet Check helps in gaining knowledge of what it is like in a veterinary environment and handling various cases, clients, and patients. Interns assist the veterinarians and the veterinary technicians during cases and daily tasks (e.g. patient triage, animal handling, scribe work, and assistance during intakes and discharge).
Oversees animal and veterinary care for Rowan University’s animal facility and labs. This includes: domestic pigeons, betta fish, zebra fish, native NJ snakes, turtles, etc.
Promoted health and wellness to the Rowan University community and participated in designing and implementing events that pertained to mental health.
Performed the same tasks as a volunteer (i.e. caring for, rehabilitating, and releasing wildlife animals that are native to the New Jersey area), but given more responsibility, and a greater depth of knowledge in wildlife and wildlife rehabilitation.
