Bloomington, Indiana, United States
Hello, my name is Fiona Gochtovtt-Stine. I am a JD Candidate at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. I graduated from IU Bloomington with a major in International Law and Institutions through the Hamilton School of Global and International Studies, as well as a minor in French. I can't wait to start the next part of my journey!
As a volleyball official evaluator, I observe and assess game officials to ensure consistency, rule enforcement, and professional conduct. I provide detailed feedback to support their growth, improve performance, and uphold the standards of the sport.
I represent IAYSP at the United Nations, primarily in the ECOSOC Chamber, where I support youth-led policy and advocacy efforts. My work includes drafting official interventions, conducting research on storytelling in advocacy, and contributing to a policy paper that will be presented at the FfD4 conference in Seville. I am also co-organizing two side-events for the 2025 High-Level Political Forum. In this role, I regularly collaborate with global partners such as MGCY, TAP Network, and GCYPS, supporting coordination across youth networks worldwide.
During this internship, my main task was to learn more about the platform Clio for Clients in relation to Clio Manage, and craft a firm rollout plan for the resource. In addition, I created various research memos to apply to current cases. I was able to go to court with the attorney who supervised me and sit in on various client meetings. From this opportunity, I gained in-depth knowledge specifically about Social Security disability and Family Law.
