Fiona is a UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee Representative, Advisor to Canadian Senator McPhedran, and Course Leader & Ambassador-Democratising Education for Global Sustainability & Justice Programme at Cambridge University. Fiona has served as a Technology Focal Point for the Science-Policy Interface of the UN Major Group for Children & Youth, which she represented as a Speaker at the 8th & 9th Multi-Stakeholder Forums on Science, Technology & Innovation for the SDGs at UN HQ, and Panelist at the UNGA79 Summit of the Future Action Days. She was an invited speaker at a UN Global Consultation on Information Integrity. Fiona was a delegate for the YOUNGO Water & Climate WG at the UN 2023 Water Conference. Fiona was an accredited delegate for COP 30, COP28, and SB62. Fiona was the Lead Facilitator of the 2024 Data Policy Task Force. Fiona is an Expert Reviewer for IPCC, IPBES and UN Call for Innovations. Fiona served on the Global Steering Committee of the UN Environment Programme CYMG as Focal Point for Children Affairs 2023-2024, and was a delegate at the 164th & 165th Meetings of the CPR to UNEP. Fiona was an accredited delegate and speaker at the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an internationally legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-4), speaking at the Closing Plenary. Fiona was selected a Top 25 Environmentalist Under 25, recipient of the UN Foundation Mobilizer Award, and was awarded a Commendation from the University of Cambridge for outstanding contributions to the DemEd Global Programme, where she completed 7 full scholarship courses, and received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of outstanding service and commitment. Fiona completed studies with University of Oxford P3SA and NYU, and is currently studying Law and International Law.
