Since 1988, I have been involved in the restoration of building envelopes as a manufacturer, subcontractor, consultant, estimator, general contractor and business development manager. I have solved water intrusion issues on a 42-story skyscraper, a forensic lab, and supervised complex full depth concrete repairs without engineering help. I’ve supervised carbon fiber epoxy repairs, solved complex sealant problems, waterproofed hydrostatic leaks, while working on iconic buildings in three states. My knowledge of building envelopes is second to none related to windows, roofing, and cladding which are the three most litigious areas of every new or existing buildings. I consider myself the Elon Musk of Building Envelope Consulting. I once walked a job with an Architect and found in 30 minutes five construction defects.
