Experience

  • Co-Founder and Manager at FGS Pro
    Feb 2011 - Present · 15 yrs 5 mos

Co-founded FGS Pro with two partners to bring the GiD (GPS Interface Device) to market. What started as a brainstorming exercise between colleagues in 2007 led to the development of an innovative solution that seamlessly connected dispatch systems, TETRA communications, and vehicle navigation. First deployed in 2009, the GiD enabled the automatic transfer of incident data from dispatch centers to emergency response vehicles. Starting my career (in 1987) as an embedded software engineer, I took responsibility for the GiD's embedded software development and progressively expanded my role as overall project management, coordinating mechanical design, tooling, manufacturing, and supplier relationships. Together with my co-founders, who led the system architecture and hardware development, we successfully brought the GiD from concept to market. More than a decade later, the GiD remains in active use and continues to be commercialized, demonstrating the lasting value of the solution and the strength of its original design. What I am most proud of is that an idea born from informal discussions between colleagues evolved into a product that has been used for many years in operational emergency environments where every second counts.
