As a senior executive in the avionics and aerospace technology field, I've accumulated decades of accomplishments throughout my career -- none of which I'm prouder of than the opportunity I've had to build and mentor world-class teams focused on the areas of new product design, development, testing, and launch. A quick synopsis of my background and credentials includes: • Strong technical leader successfully building teams with attention to culture. • Overseeing the introduction of over 40 groundbreaking avionics products. Including hardware (DO-160), software (DO-178) and firmware (DO-254) elements -- all of which successfully passed rigid FAA TSO approvals and STC requirements. • Regularly meeting annual budget targets under my direction. • Created a workplace culture centered around sharing, trust, and open communication; this culture was paramount to maintaining high retention/morale levels for the 100-200 employee team during challenging periods of industry contraction. • Implemented hundreds of cutting-edge process improvements and best practices to streamline operations, reduce cost, and increase productivity. Led R&D efforts across multiple product areas including; Cockpit Voice & Flight Data Recorders, Flight Management Systems, Terrain Awareness & Warning Systems, Airborne DataLink Systems, Flat Panel Display technologies, and Synthetic Vision Systems.
