Development, coordination and lecturer of courses in sports medicine, tailored for medical doctors in training for sports medicine specialist, general physicians, other medical specialists, e.g.: - Introduction in Sports Medicine (3 day course) - Workshop Lower leg injuries (1 day course) - Overuse injuries of the lower leg (1 day course) - Nutrition and sport ( 2 day course) - Doping (1 day course)
Responsible for sports medical care of the triathletes, including diagnosis and treatment of injuries, pre-participation exams, exercise testing.

In 2013 appointed as program manager Sports Medicine Care and Research of the Specialty Physical Activity, one of the new key topics of Maastricht University Medical Centre+. Since 2000 founder and director of the Sports Medicine Centre Maastricht*Parkstad. We provide sports medicine care to athletes of all sports and all levels, including elite athletes, as well as to patients suffering from chronic disease conditions, like COPD, diabetes mellitus. From 1995 I have a position as a sports medicine specialist at the Traumatology Division of the Dept of Surgery at Maastricht University Medical Centre+. My main responsibilities are the diagnosis and treatment of overuse injuries, and the rehabilitation / return-to-sport after trauma or surgery of athletes.
