Head of the Network Unit and Deputy Head of whole IT department during absences. Involve on Management Board dealing with IT Strategy for medium- and long-term technology plan. Responsible of coordination for common campus infrastructures (four research institutes on-site). Budget holder for Networking at Campus & DataCenter infrastructures (1,5M€ per year). EPN-Campus representative at Metropolitan Network Steering Committee (TIGRE). Main interface with the national network provider (RENATER) IT coordinator for inter-unit/group projects. Suppliers manager and responsible of public tender exercises. Most relevant projects achieved at The ESRF: ▪ Definition and implementation of the Data Policy and Networking Strategy within the EBS-ESRF upgrade program (150M€) ▪ Participation on several European funded projects (PaNOSC, PaNDaaS, EGEE Grid) focused on BigData, OpenScience cloud and High-Speed data transfers over Internet. ▪ Implementation of High-Speed network backbone at The ESRF: Ethernet 400G + Infiniband EDR 200G. ▪ Extension of main ESRF DataCenter in operation (without any service interruption), within ESRF Upgrade Program - Phase I - in 2014. ▪ Definition of strategy for common EPN-Campus IT infrastructure: perimetral security, WAN implementation, virtualisation & docker platforms ▪ Design, Implementation and Administration of both: Wired & Wireless ESRF network, with the goal to converge toward most recent standard: SDN fabric at DC and Campus. Large experience and technical knowledge on different IT fields: security and networking, Unix/Linux and Windows administration, storage and backup systems, DataCenter and Campus IT infrastructures, Management Information Systems, software development projects, etc.
