I run the fact-checking department at The New Yorker, managing a large team that is responsible for upholding the magazine’s standards of accuracy, fairness, and thoroughness. I worked on Ronan Farrow’s investigative series on Harvey Weinstein, among many other stories, and love good writing and excellent reporting.
I co-lead The New Yorker’s fact-checking department, which is responsible for upholding standards of accuracy and fairness across the publication. Besides reading and providing editorial input on stories we publish, I manage almost thirty people, and am responsible for hiring and training new fact-checkers.
I fact-checked Ronan Farrow’s investigative series on Harvey Weinstein, and worked on major stories by writers including Dexter Filkins, Jelani Cobb, Rebecca Mead, Margaret Talbot, Rachel Aviv, Patrick Radden Keefe, and many others.
Research and fact-checking for books and TV, including "Say Nothing" by Patrick Keefe, "American Oligarchs" by Andrea Bernstein, and "Wagnerism" by Alex Ross.
