As Director Mfg Operations I have full responsibility for the production facility (CPK, 400 people) of Alcon Laboratories Belgium in Puurs. At CPK we provide surgical packs, and other disposable products for cataract and vitreoretinal surgery. We Help People See Brilliantly.
I was responsible for operational management of the Formulation department for the IPT Sterile of Organon Benelux (previously MSD), Heist-op-den-Berg. This function includes responsibility for realization of planned output (compliance, delivery, strategy and cost), for safety and environmental issues. Next to (people) management of subordinates, I have to work in close co-operation with peers within overall production and quality procedures and guidelines. Initiating, execution and rolling out of change activities is also part of this role.
