Four days before I was supposed to start at OMR, the OMR Festival was canceled. Coronavirus. I was unemployed before I had started. The next day, Philipp Westermeyer offered to pay me through a transition while I looked for something else. I asked for a laptop instead. On day one he sent me to look at software review platforms and their business models. Six years later, OMR Reviews is one of Europe’s fastest-growing B2B marketplaces: 80,000+ verified reviews, 12,000+ tools, 800+ categories. I built the content function from scratch and now lead Strategy. What I do today is read the DACH B2B software market and translate what I see into where OMR Reviews goes next. Three shifts are happening at once: AI is eating into established suites, software is moving into service, and digital sovereignty is back as a buying criterion.
