Felix is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, cross-border investment, and centralized/decentralized crypto legal affairs on a global scale. Practicing law over 10 years in law firms, Felix has handled various capital market and M&A deals across industries. Before joining Synergy Consulting, Felix served as general counsel specializing in payment, blockchain, crypto exchange business, and investments. He led a global team, managing daily legal affairs, transactions, and fundraising for the group, including licensed exchanges, payment companies, and trading firms, with business activities spanning Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and America. He also served as the in‑house legal head for six PE, VC, and hedge funds with operations across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, Singapore, and the United States. Felix has Master of Law degree from Northwestern University School of Law. He was recognized by InterContinental Finance Magazine as one of the Top 500 lawyers in 2017. He’s been instrumental in global legal work and advocacy on behalf of the digital asset ecosystem since 2018.
- Serve as outsourced legal counsel for CEXs, DEXs, stablecoins/RWA/utility/meme coins issuers, market makers, crypto trading firms and hedge funds, providing end‑to‑end support across structuring, fundraising, platform marketing, liquidity, daily operations, license application/acquisition, public/private sale, listings, trades, investments, dispute resolution, and ongoing regulatory compliance. - Advise on the establishment, regulatory compliance, and operational frameworks for crypto funds, exchanges, payment platforms, foundations, and trusts across key jurisdictions. - Provide a robust industry network encompassing exchanges, market makers, custodians, and payment/banking partners to deliver successful outcomes for global crypto projects.
- Oversaw the formation, compliance, administration, fundraising, valuation, post-investment monitoring, and restructuring of crypto VC and hedge funds. Managed cross-border transactions and investments in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and USA, as well as incubation services for startups in crypto and fintech industries.
- Developed global crypto licensing strategies, established joint ventures for exchange business, conducted license acquisition, engaged with regulators for license applications, led fundraising efforts, and oversaw operations across 10+ jurisdictions in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
- Provided legal advices for multinational companies on inbound and outbound investments. Managed cross-border M&A, joint ventures, regulatory applications, and acquisition financing/LBO transactions for PE firms and publicly listed companies.
- Served as corporate counsel and advised on legal affairs of Taiwan Stock Exchange, Taiwan Futures Exchange, Taiwan Securities Association, Securities and Futures Bureau, Financial Supervisory Commission of Taiwan. Handled M&A, IPO, syndicated loans, and general corporate matters for listed companies in technology and financial industries.
