• Consult business leaders on organizational effectiveness, communication, and performance management • Implement and execute on HR programs and provide guidance to ensure proper execution of HR programs • Conduct all aspects of Employee Relation investigations while partnering with corporate ER as appropriate • Analyze metrics and conduct organizational assessments that can lead to increased organizational effectiveness, proper decision making, planning and aligned initiatives • Partner with corporate HR as a sub-team member on special projects such as performance review program changes and forced ranking
• Provide high-level, high-touch support by coaching and providing HR generalist support to acquired company management and employees. Areas of support include ER, Hire to Retire Process, LOA’s, Compensation, and Benefits. • Partner with Business Development and multiple M&A functions to integrate companies into Cisco by driving due diligence and providing consultation for deals ranging from $5M to $7B in purchase price • Oversee M&A functions of acquisition integration such as Compensation, Benefits, Immigration, Contingent Workforce, Payroll, and HR business functions to ensure acquired employees are seamlessly and effectively integrated into Cisco’s HR structure • Design HR integration strategy from pre-announce to post-close phase which includes high-touch employee model, employee communication presentations, announce preparation, and closing deliverables • Manage international employment transfers and compensation for Israel, India, Mexico, and Canada • Partner with legal counsel (domestic and international) to finalize employment contracts and severance agreements and to ensure Cisco meets all legal requirements to employee acquired individuals as of close • Implement web-based tools for increased productivity and collaborative work within the team and other acquisition partners • Develop and audit processes for SOX compliance
• Supported HR Corporate programs and policies such as the roll out of bonus plans, stock options, Open Enrollment, and performance reviews by delivering front line communication via the phone and the web • Provided technical guidance to employees and managers on HR Automated Tools specifically used for compensation increases, promotions, stock option allocation, new hires, terminations, performance review, and job status changes • Completed the year 2000 Reduction In Force by providing face to face support and guidance on HR-related items to impacted employees
