My background is a combination of biology, IT and Artificial Intelligence, with a strong foundation in scientific research. As an ecologist I focus on advising, improving and conducting ecological research, the analysis of ecological data and fieldwork with modern technology, in which not the technique, but the ecological question is central. With my expertise and passion for nature, I contribute to finding sustainable solutions that benefit both nature and people, with a special interest for birds. I have a PhD in Computational Biology, where I worked on evolutionary simulations and dynamic bioinformatics. I have a profound background in Artificial Intelligence and extensive experience with advanced programming in different languages(mainly in C++), with an emphasis on genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming and data analysis. After my PhD, I spent 3 months in Bulgaria and Georgia, providing me with hands-on experience in international nature conservation, ecological field work and professional raptor migration monitoring. In 2013 I joined the board of Batumi Raptor Count and from 2014-2021 I worked for Zostera (Observation.org). Now, I'm very happy that I can apply my technical background and scientific skills in the field of nature conservation. Stichting BRC Nederland heeft ten doel: het bevorderen van het onderzoek naar en de bescherming van trekvogels in Georgië en andere Kaukasuslanden. De stichting tracht dit doel te bereiken door: - het systematisch monitoren van roofvogeltrek langs de Zwarte Zee kust in Ajaria, Georgië - het uitwisselen tussen Georgische en internationale ornithologen, studenten en natuurbeschermers van kennis, methoden en materialen inzake trekvogel-onderzoek; - het onderhouden van contacten met overheden en relevante organisaties en personen; - het geven van voorlichting omtrent doel en werkwijze van de stichting; - het verwerven van fondsen om te kunnen komen tot verwezenlijking van het doel van de stichting, en het beheren van die fondsen;
