About

2 times Dean's lister and 1 time co-author publication (from FYP work) to sum up my university achievements. Hi, I'm Faye, a first class hons graduate from NTU Chemistry. Although music and teaching are my passion, I'm always keen to learn new skills outside of my passion. I don't give up easily and will always try to do my best.

  • Final Year Project at Nanyang Technological University
    Aug 2020 - Jan 2021 · 6 mos

Successfully completed my final year project titled Synthesis of biodegradable self-assemblies using RCMP-PISA, under the supervision of Prof. Atsushi Goto. (Polymer Chemistry) Targetted to synthesise biodegradable vesicles. The assembly was formed in-situ during the polymerisation process using PISA technique. Characterisation of the assemblies was done using DLS and TEM. Degradation studies were done using GPC and DLS analysis. Preparative GPC was used as a purification method to synthesise the starting reagent -- the macroinitiator, and was analysed using NMR and MALDI-TOF. Data was analysed using MestReNova and Origin software.

      Jun 2019 - Dec 2019 · 7 mos

Experienced URECA under the supervision of Dr. Zhang for the project titled unveiling space-time variation in surface reactivity of single nanoparticle catalysts using super-resolution microscopy. Learnt the synthetic technique for synthesis of nanoparticles and how to characterise them using SEM-EDX, DLS as well as electron microscope. UV-vis was also taught for the click reaction.
