After my graduation from the University of Istanbul, F. of Pharmacy, I started directly my new job as a pharmacist at Celen Pharmacy, Istanbul, Turkey. At the same time, I was interested in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Pharmacognosy, the University of Istanbul, and I attended the program as a volunteer. While I was working in the pharmacy, I was preparing for my exams to be able to attend the Ph.D. program officially at the same time. In 2016, February I quit my job in Celen pharmacy and I started to work as a full-time volunteer in the laboratory of Pharmacognosy at the University of Istanbul with Dr. Miski and Dr. Tan. In 2018, March I've started my new position in the same location, University of Istanbul, F. of Pharmacy, Dept. of Pharmacognosy as a Teaching and Research Assistant. In 2018, September I applied for a Fulbright scholarship for studying my doctoral dissertation at National Cancer Institute about natural products, specifically medicinal plants. In 2019, August I attended an intensive language course called as Graduate Preparation Program in the University of Washington, Seattle, right after that I've started my new position as a Visiting Scholar, Graduate student at National Cancer Institute, Frederick Campus, MD, USA. I graduated on the 22nd of November 2022 from Ph. D. Pharmacognosy. I'm the person who has passionate and full-concentrated to her job! I love science, chemistry and especially natural products!
I finished my Doctoral dissertation with Ferula species. Currently I’m working as Ph.D. At Istanbul University
I've awarded Fulbright scholarship as a Visiting Student Researcher. I've started my position at Molecular Targets Program in NCI, Frederick, MD for an academic year, and worked with the team of John A. Beutler, Ph.D.
I worked as a pharmacist in Celen pharmacy with the owner pharmacist Ms. Nesrin Rabia Celen for 8 months. In my opinion, that was one of the most important and beneficial job for my career. I learned a lot of natural products and built such powerful network with very important colleagues from my field. I still keep in touch with them and I believe that whether or not you choose your way as a pharmacist in the pharmacy, I highly recommend to experience this field even you would not think of be a pharmacist in the pharmacies. Talking with the patients and collect such real stories so that to give real facts about the patients are highly important in terms of giving these experiences as an education to the future pharmacists in the university. I’m so glad to be a part of Celen’s Pharmacy almost for a year!
Working with pharmacist Zehra Almila Oztosun in the pharmacy of Capitol was such an honour for me! She is the expert in her field! This internship has changed my all thoughts about about my career and my life. I had worked in Capitol Pharmacy for a year, from my summer internship, 2014 to the end of my undergraduate program, 2015 June. I met very important people during that time and I still keep in touch with them. I was just so lucky and glad to meet Ms. Oztosun.
