*The CUNY's Career Compass for Women Leaders Conference (CUNYCCWL) made its debut in 2019, marking a significant milestone as the university's first-ever initiative dedicated to supporting women (staff and faculty) in their professional journeys. Notably, as of fall 2022, 22,318 (or 55%) of our faculty and staff are women, underlining our commitment to gender diversity. In 2023, I collaborated with two fellow founding members on crafting the inaugural Sponsorship Proposal, elevating the initiative to unprecedented heights. Moreover, the conference evolved into the CUNY Womenβs Leadership Initiative, now inclusive of not just female faculty and staff, but also students. Moving forward, our focus remains on continuous improvement and expansion; from advancing the number of women in executive leadership roles to implementing robust mentorship initiatives and succession planning.
Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Corporate, Foundation and Major Gift Development: Part-time - from Jun 2018 - Aug 2019 Intern from Sept. 2016 - June 2018
I transitioned to a new role in the C-Suite in 2020, fortunately, I was able to negotiate my contribution and leadership role in the CUNYArts department. Recently, I contributed in the launch of the new CUNY Arts website, collaborated with our Central Office Communication and Marketing dept. to launch an university-wide cultural awareness campaign, and rekindled our relationship with our cultural partners. They include the MoMA, el Museo, the Frick Collection, the Shed, TDF (Theater Development Fund), and many others. Our projects vary; however, our main goal is to expose students to the arts and help them feel welcome in those spaces. Also, we aim at opening the doors for students interested in a career in the art sector through paid internships.
The advisory board creates opportunities for the Cityβs stakeholders in arts and culture to participate in program development. This board advises CUNY program staff as they design and implement the CUNY Cultural Corps. The board also helps to identify the most pressing needs in the cultural sector that The City University of New York can help to address over time. https://www1.cuny.edu/sites/culturalcorps/
